Safe Removalist Australia moves homes between states as a fixed-price service. Each quote is based on the volume of your belongings in cubic metres and the type of service you choose.
Your goods travel in containers on the train. Our own crews handle loading and delivery in Sydney and Brisbane. In other cities, the work is done by partners we have used for more than five years.

Premium Service
A dedicated service built around your dates. Your delivery date is guaranteed in the booking. With the dedicated container option, a container holds up to 37.4 m³ and carries your items only. You pay for the volume in your quote.
Semi Premium Service
For customers who cannot be fully flexible with pick-up or delivery dates, or whose access needs a smaller vehicle, for example because of height limits. Your goods still travel on a shared truck.
Backloading Service
Your goods share space with other customers’ loads. Pick-up and delivery follow the backloading schedule, so this option suits people who are flexible. We give you a delivery window of a few days and call 24 hours before delivery. More details are on our backloading removalists page.
Inventory List
Interstate moving companies price in different ways. We price by volume, so every quote starts from your inventory list. The online form works out the volume and sends it straight to our system. Additional items must be confirmed by email, because verbal changes are not accepted. For more than 15 m³, we can do an on-site or virtual inspection.
What the Price Includes
Transport, crew, labour time and your written specifications, plus access, travel and any storage you need. A 10% fuel levy applies to all jobs.
Extra Items on Moving Day
If there is room on the truck, extra volume is charged pro rata at your quoted rate, with your written consent. If there is no room, we can collect the extra items locally and store them until the next service to your destination.
Stairs and Waiting Time
Stairs that were not mentioned in the booking cost $132 per 10 m³ per 12 stairs. Waiting time is not included in a fixed price.
Delivery windows are counted in business days, Monday to Friday. For example, with “3 to 5 business days” and a Wednesday pick-up, delivery can fall on any day from Thursday to the following Wednesday.
If you have a must-have delivery date, tell us when you ask for a quote. Being flexible on the pick-up date often makes that delivery date possible. If a train is delayed, we let you know as soon as we hear and work out a solution with you. Typical times for each route are listed on our interstate transit times page.
Tell us upfront if you have a pick-up date or a delivery date that cannot move. That gives us the best chance to fit it in, or to offer the closest date we can.
Mention anything that is still uncertain, such as keys to the new home arriving later than you leave the old one. We can store your goods in between.
Fill in the inventory list as fully as you can and send stairs, lift and parking details for both addresses.
- Flammable goods: not carried on any route.
- Pets: not carried.
- Plants: not carried to Perth or anywhere else in Western Australia.
If your new home is not ready, we can store your goods between pick-up and delivery. Storage is priced by volume, and the quoted rate stays the same for the first 26 weeks. See our container storage options.
- Deposit: 50% when you book. The balance is due straight after pick-up.
- Cancellation or rescheduling: 4 weeks’ notice for Premium, dedicated and backloading moves. Deposits for December moves are non-refundable.
- Insurance: every move carries $20,000,000 public liability insurance and $500,000 transit cover. Contents insurance is not included.
